The first day is Spring is really March 20th, but the Spring Festival is traditionally timed to coincide with the breakup of the ice on the river.

East Coulee Spring Festival

Since 1994 the residents of East Coulee celebrate the coming of spring with a day of music and family-oriented daytime activities.

The music that you hear every SpringFest is only possible through the generous donation of time and talent of the sound crew, Pied Piper Productions. This professional and highly-respected sound company has been an integral part of SpringFest for over 10 years. Many thanks and blessings to Mandy Paul, Peter Paul and their hard-working and delightful professional sound crew!

What is the East Coulee Spring Festival about ?

The festival is a benefit for the East Coulee School Musuem in partnership with the East Coulee Community Association. Over the years the festival has provided a very important source of financial support for the East Coulee School Museum. The festival has built an enviable reputation among musicians and fans.

A wide range of live music is offered by many talented musicians in a few different venues:

Folk
Blues
Jazz
Rockabilly
And more!

Multiple Venues, Hot Food and Cold Drinks, Talented Children's Performers, Live Jam Sessions

The 'good will' associated with the festival has been developed over a 16-year period through the hard work of many people working in co-operation for a common cause. A legion of volunteers has appeared each year to fill the roles that make the festival run smoothly and bring so much enjoyment to the musicians and fans. A variety of sponsors from East Coulee, the nearby localities, Drumheller, and further afield have contributed to helping the festival generate the funds that have been so important to help with the operating costs of the East Coulee School Museum.
